Fall into Namaste

Our first month of school has been super busy and loads of fun!
With 11 new friends this month we have been going back to the basics.

Practical life is the best place to start:

Look how carefully Jordy uses the baster to transfer water. Left to right transferring is GREAT pre-reading and writing practice.

Vera uses her fine motor muscles to transfer water from one cup to the other. Check out her pincer grip. Who knew an eye dropper could help develop the muscles needed for writing?!

Found a peanut, found a peanut, found a peeeaaanut just now...Work those hand muscles Kai.

Who's doing math?

I spy Sadie counting to ten!

Simon is using our spindle boxes.

Kai counts to ten with the unit bead board.

Trinomial cube? Ask Katie, she knows!

Rainy days are good for:

Yoga with friends!

Stories with Kathy

Or a book on tape, perhaps?

See how busy we are?
Every day is a good day at Namaste!
